Abstract This project is based on the articulation between linguistics and language teaching established by enunciative principles. It consists, more specifically, in proposing the paraphrastic activity as a linguistic mechanism to be applied as a didactic resource in order to promote student's linguistic and cognitive development. We propose to recover data and results from our scientific initiation and doctoral researches, in which synonymic relations in students' essays were discussed. The theoretical basis is a rapprochement between the "Theory of Predicative and Enunciative Operations", by A. Culioli, and Language Teaching, proposed by Rezende (2000a), which advocates an articulation between grammar and text production and interpretation in schools. Our goal is to present a teaching practice directed to the use of lexicon in order to operationalize enunciative discussions about lexicon according to the work we have developed along our trajectory as researchers. The hypothesis is that this operationalization could be based on the application of paraphrastic relations as a teaching method. The adopted concept of paraphrase allows the discussion not only about the proximity between terms, but also about the differences between the apparent similarity in meaning. Our aim is to develop a work with lexicon that could be an indicative of activities based on the presentation of typical occurrences, which would be representatives of a generator linguistic mechanism. This project also aims to contribute to the research group "Articulation between language and natural languages in the teaching and learning process" (UFSCar), once the theme of this research goes in the same direction of other projects developed in the same area by the mentioned research group. Keywords: Paraphrastic relations; Enunciation; Lexicon; Teaching; Language; Languages. | |
