Abstract

Based on the Bakhtin's Circle theoretical-methodological assumptions, this research project proposes a dialogical analysis of the discourse of the film saga based on the literary work Harry Potter (Warner Bros., 2001-2011), focused on the way in which films semiotize race-gender-classe relations and the intersectionality of the signs of identity and difference, based on their productivity for the multimodal teaching and learning process. To this end, the eight films in the Harry Potter franchise, in their three-dimensional material integrality (explicitly verbivocovisual), with their valorative expressivity, constitutes the corpus of this research, focused on the reflection about the audiovisual work and their productivity in the teaching and learning process. The research is justified by the cultural, social and political relevance of the Harry Potter franchise, by the reflection that it proposes about the values it mobilizes by doubly refracting the social problems it addresses and by the usefulness of the aesthetic and massive enunciation as an object of discussion and mobilization in the teaching and learning practices of languages, for a critical, autonomous and inclusive education, as proposed by United Nations SDG 4, 5, 10 and 16.
