Abstract

Intracranial aneurysms (IA) are pathological dilations in cerebral arteries, causing significant morbidity and mortality. The hemorrhagic stroke (HS) is in breach of IA, or associated with other vascular malformations. The bleeding can cause traumatic injury to the tissue and edema around the hemorrhage, increased intracranial pressure, with progression of tissue damage. In this context, stand out the physical characterization of the aneurysm, as risk factors associated with rupture of these, and is composed of hemodynamics of the vessel wall, the morphology and structure of the aneurysm. Monitor service routine Interventional Neuroradiology at the Institute of Neurosciences of Montpellier and the new learning approach for aneurysm volume quantification using 3D rotational angiograms. Will be carried out visits to the infirmary every morning, monitoring of imaging (cerebral angiography), surgical procedures (embolizations - diagnosis and treatment), case discussion and analysis of measurements (hemodynamics) of intracranial aneurysm. The knowledge gained will be applied to the neurosurgery service of the School Hospital / Medical School of Sao Jose do Rio Preto (FUNFARME/FAMERP) for possible junction with genetic analysis of intracranial aneurysms already undertaken by that service. Statistical analysis include Kruskal-Wallis test, Bonferroni's correction, paired T-test. The significance threshold is 0.05. (AU)
