Abstract During the development of terrestrial relief, several events took place so that it evolved to its present form. The modeling has gone through several Brazilian terrestrial climate change, tectonic action, as well as various erosion processes. Among them were the cycles of erosion planing paleosurfaces that generated theBrazilian. Several authors have attempted to identify these geomorphic surfacesand their correlative deposits or pediments. However, there are controversies anddifferent information in the classification of the planing surfaces of Brazil, some theorists consider the occurrence of the same tectonic, while others consider the occurrence due to weather. Thus, this work will be concerned to identify the person surface geomorphic associated with lateritic profiles of iron mining in the Midwest, trying to correlate them and understand the processes that led to its genesis.
