Abstract

Diluted magnetic oxides (DMO- diluted magnetic oxides) are materials doping with 3d metals the form of thin films "bulk" . This is a important topic of research and has attracted great interest because of potential applications, particularly in recording media and devices for spin injection. These materials exhibit ferromagnetic behavior with high Curie temperature and are promising candidates for applications in spintronics. Our group has systematically studied these materials and has made important contributions to understanding the mechanisms of magnetic interaction. In this present project have been the objective is to study systems based on oxide semiconductors doped with magnetic impurities, to understand the physics of structural, electronic and magnetic impurity-host systems, which has a high potential of technological interest. In this context, the present project is focused on synthesis, processing and characterization of semiconductors of oxide doping with magnetic impurities. The samples will be prepared by chemical methods and thin films by laser ablation and by "sputtering".
