Abstract

Quantification of cell growth, including proliferation and viability, has become an essential tool in any laboratory work using stem/progenitor cells. Such techniques allow not only the optimization of cell culture, but also the determination of growth factor and cytokine activity. Thus, this project's main objective is to standardize the proliferation assay in suspension culture of stem/progenitor cells of the organ of Corti of neonatal mice. We intend to compare the two sets of proliferation using different tests to determine the most appropriate, based on the results obtained by immunofluorescence.
