Abstract

The livestock are among the main economic activities in Brazil, due the notoriety increasedin research that has been done to the improvement and development of this field activity. Many of the innovations in this area crossed to the animal reproduction process with theimplementation of assisted reproduction technique( ART), fixed time artificial inseminationprotocols (FTAI), embryo transfer and in vitro fertilization (IVF). These techniques allow theprocesses to be more effective to value the genetics of animals that are important to thelivestock production chain. In this context, the antral follicle count(AFC) that differs thefemales of a herd about your fertility and possible reproductive success, thus it's possible toidentify animals with high follicle count open new venues to perform the direction of animalcrossings, increasing the concept and birth rates and improving the use of the herd. Still inthis context, highlighting the research that has been made for the purpose of discovering theimpacts of stem cell treatments, both in humans and animals. The regenerative capacity ofthese cells adding the immunomodulation and trophic property make the stem cells animportant subject of research in Veterinary Medicine. The project aims to compare the antralfollicle count of bovine females before and after an intra-ovary application of mesenchymalstem cells coming from animals with known high follicle count. The evaluation will be doneby ultrassonographic images by colorful B Doppler to measure the analyzed parameters. Thisproposal aims to improve the bovine female productivity in relation of follicle count by celltherapy, making possible a better improvement of a herd besides expanding the research andthe development of this kind of treatment.
