Abstract

Patient identification is important for guaranteeing the security of health care services assistance. Nacional literature has a shortage of studies about patient security problematic, mainly about his identification in health care services. This is a descriptive-exploratory study, of documentary analysis, which will be carried out by integrative review. For this, a search of primary articles published in English, Spanish and Portuguese will be carried out at the period of January 2001 to July 2012, found out in database: PUBMED- MEDLINE (Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval Sistem on-line), CINAHL (Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature), LILACS (Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences), EMBASE e SCOPUS. The results obtained will be organized in thematic categories and interpreted according to pertinent literature.(AU)
