Abstract

Musicians have enhanced response of potential auditory brainstem response as there are more robust controls neuroelectric activity of the auditory pathway due to musical training. Objective: Evaluate and compare the auditory brainstem evoked potentials, speech stimulation and then in Orchestra musicians that play string instruments or blowing instruments. Methodology: The sample consisted of 30 subjects were male and female, with 15 musicians Symphony Orchestras string instrumentalist and 15 musicians Symphony Orchestras blowing instrumentalist, between 18 and 50 years old, who play string instruments. It will be carried out Anamnesis, Otoscopy, Immittance, Conventional Audiometry, Evoked Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) with click stimulus and speech stimulus.(AU)
