Effects of different adjuvants and simulated rain intervals after the application of phytosanitary products in citrus

Abstract

Aiming to proceed with a phytosanitary product application on the leaves surface, stems and fruits of a particular culture, it must be ensured that the main goal will be reached, such as guarantee the product permanence on the respective surface and its uptake. Three classes of products will be assessed (two insecticides, two fungicides and two acaricides), mixed with two classes of adjuvants on citrus seedlings. Simulated rains with five different intervals of time will be simulated 1, 6, 12 and 24 hours after treatment application. The experiment will be conducted in a factorial 6 x 3 x 5 completely randomized design with three replications. Assessments of the retention, surface tension, contact angle of droplets and deposition of the different spraying liquids on the seedlings leaf surface will be done, before and after the rain. All evaluations and analysis will be conducted in the laboratory of Application Technology of the Núcleo de Estudos e Desenvolvimento em Tecnologia de Aplicação - NEDTA, in the department of Fitossanidade at FCAV/UNESP, Campus of Jaboticabal - SP. The obtained data will be submitted to the analysis of variance of F test and the means of the treatments will be compared by Tukey multiple comparison test at 5% significance level. (AU)
