Abstract

The hospital environment can be in an environment conducive to illness among health professionals due to the presence of numerous factors that can be considered as stressors, especially for patients in palliative care, whose constant contact with death can trigger negative reactions and attitudes. This project aims to evaluate the presence of stress indicators and attitudes toward death with 30 professionals who assist patients in palliative care. The research participants will be the professionals (nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, physiotherapists, nutritionists, social workers, teachers, speech pathologists and psychologists, occupational therapists,s and trainees). The search will be performed Clinical Hospital of the Faculty of Medicine of Marilia. To collect the data will be used three instruments: 1) characterization of the Roadmap for participants, 2) The Inventory of Stress Symptoms Lipp (ISSL), and 3) Profile attitude towards death - Revised (DAP-R). In the case of ISSL, data will be analyzed based on the classification given in the manual accompanying the instrument. For the DAP-R will take place totals of each factor and turned into averages.
