Abstract

The Brazilian soybean production dispenses entirely nitrogen, nitrogen compounds all of this plant comes from the symbiotic association, making the product highly competitive Brazilian. Conversely, glyphosate can affect biological nitrogen fixation due to reducing the nickel content, this being an essential micronutrient for the symbiotic microorganisms, while glyphosate can also influence the symbiotic nitrogen fixation. Since there are no conclusive studies on the rate of nitrogen fixation in RR soybeans, after the application of glyphosate, the present study is to obtain a profile of the influence of the application of glyphosate in GM soybeans on the metabolism and accumulation of ureides, by quantifying of ureides present in tissues (leaves, roots, and nodules) versus galactokinase enzyme activity in vitro.(AU)
