Abstract

The principal intention of this research is to investigate the production of opus to transversal flute and piano by the professor, pianist, and composer Edmundo Villani-Côrtes (1930), objectivity delineates a profile about the style of composition practiced by him in his opus to this instrumentation. By gathering his pieces to this formation, I intend to select five musical compositions and analyze them taking into account the harmonic treatment, rhythmic-melodic development, formal development, and the degree of difficulty technical-musical. So that, in the ending of this prefixed chronogram, I hope I will divulge the analysis of this opus with the music scores digit form and so divulge the opus by this Brazilian contemporaneous composer and provide material to application to whom might be interested.(AU)
