Abstract

The purpose of this project is to analyze the characteristics that make RVTE a public broadcaster. The study will be based on the following criteria: system structure; management model; funding model and profile of programming, factors that are central in a communication system. The methodology used in this proposal is qualitative, bounded by the case study, which provides a deep analysis of the present object. Having as a theoretical reference the Politic Economy of Communication, this research aims to expand the discussion about this system in Brazil based on the understanding of a European public communication system.
