Abstract

The object of the research for this internship abroad is the behavior of the simulation model ENVI-met to microclimatic evaluation of densely built urban areas with the guidance of the advisor prof. Dr. Michael Bruse, author of this software, which continues to improve the model. The objective is to performing various sensitive tests of the model ENVI-met, exploring its capabilities to simulate urban areas densely built, considering different types of buildings: the perimeter block, the block, present in several European cities, the blade, characteristic of the Brazilian modern architecture and the tower, icon of contemporary architecture. The method is inductive,, through Field surveys that are being conducted previously, in October 2012, featuring the two densest districts in the city of São Paulo and its local microclimate conditions, and deductive for comparisons between the field survey and the parametric simulations. The following activities are planned: 1) Start the curve fit between measured and calculate data of microclimatic variables, 2) after the curve adjustment, is initiated the simulation of different parametric scenarios in high-urban different arrays; 3) learning advanced software tools available in the latest version. With the opportunity of the internship, the theoretical basis of this research could be extended, because of the close contact with ongoing researches in the urban microclimatological area, and other researches.
