Abstract

Various researches suggest that a considerable number of pathologies cause electrocardiogram or blood pressure changes. However, some diseases generate changes in both signals. Hence, would be important to analyze simultaneously both electrocardiogram and blood pressure signals. Some archives from the Physio Bank database will be selected. The electrocardiographic and blood pressure signal cycles will be isolated and their attributes will be classified through the Fisher's Linear Discriminant. This research's goal is to investigate the relationship between the electrocardiographic and blood pressure signals, exploring the simultaneous use of both signals in diagnosis support.(AU)
