Abstract

This research on the scholarship request of Undergraduate Research, entitled "Implementation of Human Neurovision Using Artificial Neural Networks for Pattern Recognition Purposes", has as its main objective the development of computational tools that aid in robotic vision problems. The tools developed will employ techniques of intelligent systems based on the human biological systems to assist in the treatment of the problem. More specifically, we will use techniques based on artificial neural networks (ANNs) in order to allow the mapping of the path traversed by electrical impulses in the human visual system. The most attractive features of this intelligent system consist of its high ability to map nonlinear systems, like the brain, and to treat any uncertainties associated with them. (AU)
