Abstract With this project we aim to study gauge theories in the quiver and to explore their applications to physics beyond the Standard Model (SM) in the TeV scale. We are doubly motivated: there are theoretical reasons to expect physics beyond the SM to manifest itself at this scale and it is currently being tested in the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). We will study models obtained from Warped Extra Dimensional theories (WED) by dimensional deconstruction. This type of model reproduces the mass spectrum of theories with extra dimensions by identifying the couplings of a 4-dimensional action, given by N gauge groups, with those of a discretized extra dimension. They give us the possibility of explaining both the SM scale hierarchy and the fermion mass hierarchy, without the usually present flavor changing neutral currents. We will build specific models to embed leptons in this framework e the resulting phenomenology in the LHC will be studied using computational simulations. (AU) | |
