Abstract In this project intend to get the age of four obsidians and three muscovites micas through of Fission Track Method (FTM). This seven samples had been collected in the peruvian Andes, at Arequipa zone located southeast at Lima city, Peru. The results of this ages will enable to study the volcanic activity in the peruvian Andes and the relation with tectonic activities occurred between Nazca plate and American South plates. To get the age of this samples three different methods will be used into FTM: i) External Detector Method; ii) Population Method and iii) Subtraction Method. Through of comparison of the ages obtained by these methods we could determine what of them is the more appropriate to this set of samples, this way to use this routine in a bigger amount of samples that could be collected at volcanic zone of studies. To improve the MTF knowledge, will be done studies of volcanic glass characterization describing by micro-Raman spectrometry. | |
