Abstract

The project will be developed during the agricultural year 2012/13 at the experimental farm of Teaching and Research of the Universidade Estadual Paulista, located in Selvíria (MS). The local soil type is Typic Dark-epi-eutrophic Alic and clayey, originally under cerrado vegetation. The average annual rainfall is 1330 mm, the mean annual temperature is 25 º C and relative humidity of 66% annual average. The experiment will be subsubdivided plots with four replications. Each block will consist of eight treatments, consisting of two cover crops (Pennisetum glaucum and Crotalaria juncea), two soil management systems (heavy disking + leveling disking and no-tillage) in the presence and absence of seed inoculation with Azospirillum brasilense. The objective is to evaluate the effect of seed inoculation of upland rice with Azospirillum brasilense in different systems of rice production systems involving soil management and cover crops evaluated, but also increase the production efficiency of upland rice no-tillage systems.
