Abstract

The use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles is growing not only in the military environment, but also in civilian applications. One way to make these aircraft safer and more flexible is through the implementation and study of autopilots. These systems provide easy operation and can be performed with a simple training, since most of the running missions autonomously. To achieve this goal, this project will propose playing an autopilot, worrying especially with the hardware of this system. This implementation must have a hardware design that allows the implementation of control algorithms for stabilization and navigation, as well as having full integration with sensors, which provided input to these algorithms, and actuators representing the autopilot output. With this study it will be possible to compare different hardware and determine physical conditions for optimum operation of these aircraft. (AU)
