Abstract

The objective of this project is to evaluate the interaction between energy supplementation and pasture management on the voluntary intake and ingestive behavior of beef cattle. For this experiment will be used at 8 rumen cannulated Nellore steers, grazing Palisadegrass. The pasture treatments will be two entry heights of animals in paddocks, which are 25 and 35 cm. The average height of residue after grazing used is 60% of the height of entry and fixed in 15 and 21 cm to 25 input height and 35 cm, respectively. Two levels of energy supplementation (0 and 0.6% of body weight) will be associated with each pasture treatment. The statistical design will be a double Latin square 4x4.(AU
