Abstract

Multicomponent reactions (RMCs) are generally defined as a process in which three or more reactants combine in a single "pot" reaction, to form a product that has structural characteristics of each reagent used, generating products with a good structural complexity in only one step. The use of catalysts (metals, acids, or enzymes) in the development of RMCs has been the subject of research in several research groups and this project proposes to study the application of niobium compounds in multicomponent reactions checking in detail the effect of temperature and molar concentration of reagents in these reactions. The comparison of income, the proportion of the products formed and reaction time of the compounds of niobium used with other reagents will also be a key focus of the research. The reactions that we propose in this work are to study the reactions for the preparation of derivatives of 4-alryl-3,4-Dihydrocoumarin, which are compounds that have high pharmacological interest, using Niobium pentachloride for obtaining these derivatives.(AU)
