Abstract

It is a recurring complaint from teachers lack of student interest in geography lessons. The great challenge, then, is to think about teaching practices that foster a closer relationship between geographical and social practices of students. Thus, the objective of the research is to investigate the approach on the use of the model as a teaching resource in Geography class, through the analysis of recent studies of cartography school in the academic field. This way, after the literature review, the proposal is the construction and use of models that allow interactivity, in other words, that facilitate the student to manipulate the objects on a smaller scale, as an aid in teaching-learning process. So, we intend to analyze whether this feature also contributes to the learning of various geographical concepts difficult to assimilate, such as the organization of urban space and the forms of relief.
