Abstract

This proposal is within the context of the research project approved by FAPESP Process: 10/50694-0, which specifically main to establish and to validate appropriate procedures for image acquisition in order to determine the discrete distribution of particle size in static reactor and later in continuous flow. For this purpose, we will investigate water prepared in the laboratory (caulita suspension and humic acid) in order to provide greater control to validate the method. Subsequently influent raw water will be collected and determined the pilot plant under suitable coagulant, pH coagulation source and illumination intensity and speed image capture and method for viewing. Finally procedures will apply batch obtained in order to obtain continuous flow of undisturbed samples. The acquired images will be evaluated by using specific software. (AU)
