Abstract

The main social agents that are involved in the production of urban space, among them the owners of the means of production, land owners, property developers, the State and the excluded social groups, operate quite differently in each place, being influenced by socio-political strategies that are at stake in a certain historical moment. In order to meet their distinct needs, these agents vying for the urban land that, in the capitalist production system, becomes a commodity assuming a use value and swap value. Within this perspective, the main objective of this project of internship research in abroad is centred on carrying out analysis on the strategies that mobilize agents that do and redo the city aiming at understand the participation of each of them within the logic of the differential valuation of urban land. The methodology to be followed consists in the deepening theoretical, from extensive review of literature and knowledge of some cases, involving the subject of research, which will fund the quali-quantitative analysis involved in the master's degree of the researcher proponent that is being done in the Graduate Program in Geography at the University of Campinas.
