Abstract

Parkinson's disease is the second most common neurodegenerative disorder and it affects 17/100.000 worldwide. The main symptoms are resting tremor, bradykinesia, stiffness, freezing and postural instability. The symptoms usually begin in the fifth decade of life. Non motor symptoms have been recently identified in this patients, and they might be part of the natural course of the disease or due to medication. Among the non-motor symptoms, the most important are related to impulsivity. The main objective of the study is to assess brain abnormalities related to impulsivity in PD patients by means of rs-fMRI.
