Abstract

New assessment methodologies that adopt a more holistic and undermine the real situation of the population have created the need for new perspectives on progress indicator to communities. Gross National Happiness (GNH), which uses parameters that consist of systemic indicators in nine dimensions, stands out among these indicators. The GNH in Brazil involves the participation of youth as a catalyst for social changes. The objective of this project is to raise elements for the assessment of the GNH implementation that was elaborated with young people in an interior city, emphasizing the integration of youth in mobilizing the local community to take part in a social leadership to improve public policy dialogue about the consequences of this process in personal and social life.
