Abstract

This sudy seeks to analyse the playing of women’s football, as well as the discourses and representations of the players regarding the sport. It is our goal to verify how the construction and negotiation of gender identities and representations of the players takes place in such a socially masculine centered sport and, also, how those identities and representations can infuence the playing of women’s football. For such, we propose a field research to be done in a football school for women, as well as in a professional women’s football team.
