Abstract

No-tillage is the most system used for corn production and represent around 15% of agricultural area in Brasil. Recently has increased the application of Nitrogen (N) fertilizer before corn sowing or in a winter crop instead of the traditional application in corn plants. Due to this applications is done in winter crops, this N is exposed for a longer period to loss by immobilization by microorganism. This topic is not well explored in the literature and research about this should be investigated to understand the dynamic of N in soil, corn and winter crop with such fertilizer management. The object of this research is understand the 15N dynamic and your efficiency by the plants (corn and oat) and know how much the soil contributes with plant´s nutrition, and also give information about fertilizer management in this system.
