Abstract Numerous models that extend the Standard Model (SM) of particle physics have new heavy particles with sizeable couplings with the Higgs boson. Their effect can be described by operators of dimension higher than 4, which involve the Higgs and other SM fields. So we expect that the Higgs production rates and branching ratios will be especially sensitive to new physics. In this project we will consider effective Lagragians containing operators of dimension 5 and 6, which involve the Higgs field and use recent experimental data to put constraints on the size of such operators. We intend to initially study interactions with Z and W bosons. (AU) | |
