Abstract

This research project aims to verify a possible relation between alcohol use among adolescent offenders and the damage/injury level of the offense that most recently resulted in contact with the juvenile judicial system. The data will be obtained from interviews with adolescent offenders who has had contact with Vara da Infância, Juventude e do Idoso, that has local competence to judge those juveniles at Ribeirão Preto, São Paulo, Brazil. The research will interdisciplinarily contribute for a critical view about juvenile offenders as subjects of the right to mental health, integral protection and human dignity.
