Abstract

The term polypore is used to describe fungi whose fertile part of basidiomata, typically located on the surface facing toward ground, characterized by the presence of basidia tubes internally coated by forming a pore himenial surface. The representatives of this group are mostly degrading lignin, presenting the basidiomata leathery woody, often perennial. Its main result of their ecological function as decomposers activity, constituting one of the key links in the cycling of nutrients. Despite the fundamental ecological importance of these fungi, the diversity of the group in Brazil is still poorly known. This situation remains in the state of São Paulo, where there are still large gaps in knowledge, even in the most studied biome yet, the Atlantic Forest. It is also worth mentioning that among the various inventories in the state, none addresses the diversity of the Parque Estadual da Serra do Mar, one of the main areas of preserved Atlantic Forest in the state. In order to contribute to an improvement in this framework, we propose the lifting of the Center Santa políporos Virginia State Park of Serra do Mar. The specimens will be identified by morphological and molecular analysis. For phylogenetic analyzes will be used ITS region, LSU and SSU. The DNA is extracted from the basidiomata fragments and regions of interest are amplified by means of PCR reactions. The specimens collected and identified shall be deposited in the Collection of the Herbarium of Fungi Collection Maria P. Eneyda K. Fidalgo (SP) and the sequences obtained shall be deposited in GenBank. (AU)
