Abstract The class Tentaculititoidea consists of extinct marine invertebrates provided with carbonate shell, cuneirforme may or may not provide micro-ornamentation on the shell. They have a broad geographic distribution and stratigraphic distribution of? Ordovician to Devonian. They have complex phylogenetic relationships and, currently, are considered belonging to the Phylum Mollusca. They are found in the Paraná Basin and found tree genders: Tentaculites, Homoctenus and Styliolina. The Parnaiba and Amazonas Basins only one gender are found: Tentaculites. This project aims at first to reclassification and systematic validation of these taxa occurring in the Devonian of Brazil. Moreover, through this systematic stratigraphic control and more defined, taphonomic recognize patterns associated with pre-treatment systems already established in study sections and establish correlations taphonomic and paleoecological, large depositional and evolutionary events in the Paraná Basin. | |
