Abstract

We try to understand the consolidation and how the Information Technologies and Communication - ICTs - are arranged and organized space. The expansion of the presence and use of ICTs in the cities, has changed the everyday, by changing the forms of consumption of goods and services, and especially the way people use and consume urban spaces. So we have new forms of relations with the space, from the new technologies of communication and information, which requires us to new ways of analyzing new environments, resulting in large part from the articulation and exchange of experience between, the appropriate and consume ICT. In middle-sized cities this process still needs to be investigated, enabling us to assess to what extent ICTs can be taken as an analytical perspective for understanding how is using and how they are changing socio-spatial relations in these cities, taking as reference Presidente Prudente / SP.
