Abstract

This research project proposes a study of journalistic production Eliane Brum, taking as corpus analysis of the books "The Life that nobody sees" and "Eye of the Street: A reporter in search of real-life literature," two works that bring together texts published in the newspaper Zero Hora and journal Times, respectively. Thus, it has been designed to demonstrate and understand how journalism differs from Brum records of a conventional media, guided by news values and a journalistic indicating the positions to be taken at each stage of production journalistic. From the study of the themes present in the stories of Eliane Brum, we seek to identify what are your criteria for newsworthiness and his concept of news, besides developing a narrative analysis of their texts. This article will deal, therefore, to verify the possibility of journalistic techniques and values that clash with the procedures of traditional media. (AU)
