Abstract

This research project aims to analyze, in large multimedia broadcast the TAB website, the portal UOL, and the newspaper's website Folha de S. Paulo, accessibility features for people with visual and hearing disability. The proposal is based on the reading and analysis of ten broadcsts, five from each publication, in order to identify and analyze features such as a) written description; b) audio transcription of images, tables, videos and graphics; c) subtitling videos; d) audio of written texts and, to finish, e) access content possibility for screen readers and voice synthesizers, like Jaws, Orca, Virtual Vision, and operating systems as Dosvox. As the study, expected to understand the accessibility for people with visual or hearing disability features used in digital news production today and contributing to the discussion on accessible communication and inclusion.
