Abstract

The research will focus on productions specialized in travel and tourism information, in Spain and the United Kingdom, which may include journalistic publications, tourist guides, government editorial products, trade magazines etc., and favoring digital formats online, but not being restricted to them. The study seeks to identify and analyze accessibility resources and principles of Universal Design in productions, adapted language, redundant production of information formats, use of assistive technologies and compliance with the guidelines for the production of accessible content. It also includes a survey of the users' informational repertoire, in order to identify how the conditions and contexts of consumption, permeated by accessibility, act in the choice of sources of information, fundamental for the definition of the analysis corpus, and in the construction of a set of references and data related to the theme. With the research, it is expected to understand how specialized information in travel and tourism presents itself to the public with disabilities, in particular people with visual impairments, in countries that are protagonists in the discussions and in the development of projects and initiatives for the inclusion of all, in the economic, educational, labor, cultural, health, leisure and leisure spheres. It is also expected that the post-doctoral internship with excellent research centers, in Spain and England, will provide contact with European theoretical and methodological contributions that contribute not only to the development of the study itself, but also for the discussion of new theories, methods and techniques of analysis of communicational accessibility, as well as the proposal of accessible media production models. The project continues studies that have been carried out for more than five years, in the field of accessibility to communication, culture and education, and have subsidized the development of inclusive journalistic and cultural products.
