Abstract

The interests and professional tendencies are important variables to build your career. This way, this project aims to evaluate the interest of Biological area college students, checking the relation between the university choice and the professional interest. There will be invited to take part of the research about 100 participants from the courses: Biomedicine, Biological Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Physiotherapy and Nutrition. The instrument used for the evaluation of interests will be the BBT-Br Profession Photo Test and will be applied the Degree of Career Commitment. From the data obtained quantitatively will be selected two participants, with different profiles concerning the commitment degree with the graduation course, searching an understanding in the career building. They will be invited to answer to the qualitative steps of the BBT-Br, that is, associations about the photos and the history of the five favorite photos. After that, there will be a semi-structured interview raising the themes: "career choice", adjustments on the course, expectations related to the professional future and life themes. The data analysis of the BBT-Br application will be carried out according to the instrument standard technique. The quantitative data will be compared to the normative studies to Brazilian population. The interviews will be analyzed in a qualitative way according to the Content Analysis proposed by Bardin.
