Abstract

In our master's research, "The constitution of discursive formula 'culture of peace': the production and circulation of the meanings", we aim to analyze the route of the syntagma "culture of peace" in the public space during the years 2001-2010, declared by the UN as the "International Decade for a Culture of Peace and Non-Violence for the Children of the World" (UN Resolution A/RES/53/25), based on the theoretical board and on the methodology proposed by Alice Krieg-Planque (2010) in the concept formulation "discursive formula". In order to deepen this work, we propose in our Complementary Project, to be developed at the Centre d'étude des discours, images, textes, Ecrits, communication - CÉDITEC, to discursively examine the functioning of the publishing industry regarding the publications that have as their main purpose the "culture of peace". Put into circulation as specific technical objects - textbooks, theory books, compilations etc. -, these works collaborate in the establishment and the spreading of this formula in the institutional discourse, with its inclusion in the sphere of public authority. We intend to investigate the constitution of these technical editorials objects, which are, by definition, discursive objects whose specificities are based on the relations that their editing processes keep with the circulation and production of meanings that such discursive formula holds.
