Abstract

With the recent successful results obtained using optical parametric oscillators (OPOs) to generate intense entangledlight fields, we propose to use this entanglement in quantum communication protocols with continuous-variablesystems. At first, we will use two strongly correlated beams to teleport a coherent state between differentwavelengths of the electromagnetic spectrum. In order to do so, we will use the tuning properties of the OPO togenerate bright signal and idler beams, entangled and non-degenerate.Following this experiment, we will swap entanglement between light fields of different colors using two OPOs. Such demonstrations will serve as a basis for new teleportation protocols, a very important intermediate step in the implementation of quantum networks, connecting nodes that operate in different frequency bands.
