Andrological traits are important to be evaluated in animal breeding and genetics programs. Male fertility increases the chance of success in the transmission of the genetic material and they have genetic correlation with female fertility, contributing to the productivity of the production system. However, these traits are not evaluated in animal breeding programs. So, the development of molecular markers that explain part of the variance of the trait helps the genetic evaluation of the sires. The aim of the project is to find causative mutations in candidate regions by GWAS and evaluate their effect in these traits. (AU)
