Abstract

The shift of place of consumption for the consumption of place is something that can easily be noticed in the spaces produced for the tourism. Jericoacoara, located on the west coast of the state of Ceará, while polo international tourism is in this condition. This process does not happen pacifically and harmoniously, but is linked directly conflicts and contradictions. In this sense, this research aims to analyze the contradictions modernizing (materialized, in progress and virtual) and their conflicts in Jericoacoara, specifically the reproduction of space of spectacle for the tourism and the changes in everyday life of people who inhabit the place. This means that it is essential to understand how this space was able become a merchandise, introducing the valuation process it, ie, as they pass exercising (as merchandise) a fetishism, a seduction mystique about people. The methodology adopted follows the relationship of reality in Jericoacoara, through fieldwork and a literature review critical and reflective about the theme, based mainly on Karl Marx, Henri Lefebvre, Guy Debord, among others. From these authors we want to understand the reality of today's world and how Jericoacoara is related with this world. That means between the study and the next order we have a distant necessary mediation: the everyday. This barrier as shown here for the emancipation of man and at the same time as the possibility of self-denial, ie to overcome. Finally, the effort is to understand how the process of reproduction of space in Jericoacoara may have a tendency to destruction of traditional benchmarks (a rural way of life based on fishing), by transforming the space into merchandise, in image of the modern, making a representation of everyday relationships through the spectacle.
