Science and Technology are considered to be the interference in the social context and important to the population, as well as to scientific development for the social and economical development of the country. By its relevance, requires the knowledge and comprehension of its various aspects, aiming extension, visibility and popularization Science and Technology to general population, also allowing the active participation and interactivity in decision-making, giving voice to connected citizens. This project aims to identify and to analyze initiatives for science and public communication of Science and Technology on the web and to verify the existence of spaces and mechanisms capable of promoting the public participation, lay or expert. The methodology consists in a qualitative analysis of the content posted, elements and technical aspects such as usability and ergonomics, arranged in sites, portals, social media and other initiatives of public communication of Science and Technology on the Web intended to disseminate and facilitate scientific information access, scientific knowledge and public communication of Science and Technology. At the end of the research, it is expected to have a overview about the actions intend to approximate the civil society to Science and Technology, whether from society, or government or official and which forms occur, as well as to understand whether initiatives of scientific communication on the web interfere the participation and involvement of citizens in decision-making concerning Science and Technology and if they are able to contribute to the consolidation of a scientific culture in the country.
