Abstract

This proposal aims a six months stage at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales, in Paris, with the objective of actualizing the bibliography on history of the elites, and discuss the viability of using the term "productive elites", an essential concept in this doctorate research. The dialogue with French historiography, which deals with that subject, has been essential in its definition, and should to be deepening during its experience. The stage also would permit to dialogue with researchers which have been studying the Brazilian history, such as Mônica R. Schpun, from EHESS, with relevant work about elites from São Paulo. It aims, moreover, to do a bibliographic review on vocational education in France, because French which initiatives dated from the late XIXth century are frequently quoted in sources. It's also relevant; to schedule debates and initiatives on instruction did by civil society's groups or individuals, linked to productive activities in France, in order to elaborate a useful pattern to analyze proposals from Minas, especially when they point out the French case as an example.
