Abstract Due to the increasing number of bleaching treatments caused by the public appraisal given to aesthetics in recent times, more and more patients are seeking such intervention. Thus, this study aims the usage of a bleaching agent and the conventional method of polishing laboratorial composite resins extrinsically pigmented. Five different brands of laboratorial composite resins will be assessed (Adoro, Resilab, Cristobal, Sinfony and Epricord). Hundred samples of each brand will be manufactured amounting 500. Those were divided into five 5 groups. Each laboratorial composite resin brand will be tested subjecting 20 samples to 4 types of coloring solutions (Café Pilão, Coca-cola, Periquita Vinho Tinto Seco and Orange Juice) and also to artificial saliva, constituting the control group. Eventually half of the samples will be immerged in 38% hydrogen peroxide for 30-minutes per weeks, during 3 weeks. The samples, when not soaked in the bleaching agent will be stored in artificial saliva. The color evaluation will be carried out by a refection spectrophotometer at times: initial, after 21 days of immersion in coloring solutions and after periods of immersion in the bleaching agent. Afterwards, the results will be subjected to variance analysis ANOVA two factors and 5% significance Turkey test. | |
