Abstract

The objective of this research is to analyze possible contributions of Actor-Network Theory (TAR) for the study and understanding of the history of geographical thought. In this sense, it is understood that the popularization of the concept of scientific practice of Thomas Samuel Kuhn, spread among geographers from the renewal movement of geography in the years 1950, presents limitations for the understanding of the development of this discipline, which creates a demand for benchmarks that have more interpretative resources. Thus, the Actor-Network Theory, derived from studies on Science, technology and society, can contribute to the understanding of the history of geographical thought.
