Abstract

The goal of this project is to perform a analysis of the central region of the supercluster of galaxies SC0028-0001 through weak gravitational lensing techniques. This work in part of thorough analysis of this object that includes also dynamical and X-ray analysis. The ultimate goal of the whole project is to test whether the spheric collapse model provides a good description for the central region of this system. For the weak-lensing analysis we have deep and good quality CFHT images in three bands (gri). With this data we intend to identify the mass peaks (clusters), measure their total mass content and look for filaments linking the individual clusters.
