Abstract In ecological terms, the increase in greenhouse gases is worrying. Among the factors that are related to the changes of concentrations of greenhouse gases is possible to point agricultural expansion and changes in land use, as well as the increased use of nitrogen fertilizers. There are strong indications that soils inhabited by termites and nidificads contribute significantly in emissions related to global warming and climate changes, this involves ecological interactions that the order possesses with protozoa and bacteria located in the foyer and in the large intestine, the digestion products of hese microorganisms are largely responsible for the emission and concentration of these gases in the atmosphere. This study aims to evaluate the influence of the nests in emissions of carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide, as well as analyze the variations of these gases in the daytime and nighttime during the seasons. | |
