Abstract

Percentage of Consonants Correct (PCC) index can assist the therapist in Educational Audiology evaluate the effectiveness of the rehabilitation planning aiming at adapting it to better achieve the needs of the patient, contributing to the success of therapy. PCC index can be evaluated using ABFW - Child Language Test. This research aims at comparing the Percentage of Consonants Correct (PCC) and the responses to the questionnaires IT-MAIS and MAIS in children with hearing impairment in two stages, within a 12 months interval. After data collection and analys, one intend to verify the influence of speech and hearing therapy and its assiduity on PCC index and if it is a viable parameter to evaluate language development inf children with hearing loss.
